AI Innovation Lab. Here's How.

The AI Innovation Lab operates on a structure grounded in Design Thinking and the Working Genius frameworks. It's a peer-driven cohort where individuals collaborate on projects beneficial to their companies, working alongside other professionals in their industry. The lab includes monthly facilitated workshops and weekly asynchronous work. A dedicated lab manager is on hand to assist in gathering, organizing, and synthesizing information from the entire team, ensuring a cohesive and productive working environment.

Team Synthesis

Assess and train the team for collaborative success.

Assembling the team with intention is key. We employ our proprietary AI Attitude Assessment (AIAI) to establish a baseline understanding of team attitudes toward risk, technical acumen, openness, and motivation. Additionally, we train the team in the Working Genius framework, a validated methodology that bolsters collaboration and fuels innovation. These assessments and frameworks are designed to ensure that your AI lab team can collaborate efficiently, innovating and implementing valuable solutions for their organizations.

Identify Opportunities, set goals and define objectives.

Begin by pinpointing and aligning your business needs with clear, strategic objectives. After identifying opportunities and defining objectives, the team engages in both independent and collaborative efforts to generate actionable ideas and explore practical tools and technologies. Discernment

Evaluating and improving the best ideas. 

By harnessing a cross-functional team of colleagues, each bringing unique skills and expertise, the innovation lab is poised to generate a multitude of ideas. In this phase, we'll engage in evaluating, prioritizing, and selecting the most promising ideas for further exploration, prototyping, and testing. This process ensures a focused approach towards innovation and practical application.

Galvanizing

Spreading enthusisam and ralling the organization to embrace AI innovation. 

Introducing AI innovation inherently brings disruption throughout an organization. It can potentially transform corporate culture and fundamentally change work processes, customer service, and leadership styles. Galvanizing the organization is a crucial yet frequently overlooked aspect of the success of an innovation project.  This step is essential to ensure alignment, get support and buy-in, and foster acceptance of transformative changes.

Prototyping

Explore ideas with less risk by creating prototypes.

Once the lab team has selected from a vast array of promising ideas and rallied support, they are primed to develop prototypes and initiate pilot experiments. The prototyping process further refines and improves these ideas, creating tangible methods to gather feedback and test assumptions. This stage is vital for transforming abstract concepts into practical, testable solutions.

Test and Plan

Test prototypes and plan next actions. 

Once the lab team has selected from a vast array of promising ideas and rallied support, they are primed to develop prototypes and initiate pilot experiments. The prototyping process further refines and improves these ideas, creating tangible methods to gather feedback and test assumptions. This stage is vital for transforming abstract concepts into practical, testable solutions.

Invesment

AI is complex and rapidly changing, and learning how to integrate it into your business is not going to be fast or easy. Most people won't do it. They aren't willing to dedicate the time, energy and money now for a bigger payoff later. ILeading the future isn't for everyone.

Each Innovation Lab is designed over 12 months and costs $2000 per quarter.  Each member is expected to work on a specific project(s) with an anticipated future value of at least 3X of the total investment. Lab Manager

A dedicated (human) professional working in the trenches for your team.

Your lab manager is dedicated to providing quarter-time, hands-on assistance each week. This commitment is focused on helping the team coordinate and communicate effectively with one another. Additionally, the lab manager plays a vital role in collecting, organizing, and managing all ideas, data, and information, ensuring smooth and efficient progress throughout the lab's activities.

The Association AI Newsletter

As part of the program, your Lab manager collaborates with the team and the association to produce a regular newsletter to share with association members.
